i think parasite was the best movie of the year for a few reasons (no spoilers included). first of all, it was a completely original story. it wasn't a remake or a prequel or a sequel, which pretty much everything is these days. secondly, it was a foreign film that didn't have any big name american actors to draw a crowd. the movie got buzz based on word of mouth alone. the script and the acting were both extremely well done and it also had several plot twists. it was a very unpredictable movie that made watching it very suspenseful and exciting. it also managed to tell a very enthralling story without the use of special effects or cgi. the movie was entertaining purely for the dialogue, story, and character development. it was over 2 hours but did not have a ton of "filler"; it was well paced and never dragged. finally, i thought it had a very satisfactory ending, which many movies do not. many films start strong but tend to lose momentum along the way and don't have a solid finish. this movie really had it all and i hope it wins best picture!
2019 was a very strong year for the film industry. avengers: engame became the highest-grossing film of all time, the star wars saga came to a close, and many unique and interesting independent films were released and well-received. i have a hard time narrowing down just one movie, so here's my top 5 of 2019 (in order):
so exactly, it came out 2019, it's called the war. it was very famous to african americans, but sadly, it is not on netflix , it is pg13, has some blood but mostly african americans figuring out a mystery of when the war starts. they knew the war was starting because they had sent spys to they're enemy kingdom, fire foxes. the other team was frost wolves. the movie no longer exists but it sure is a good movie.
1917, and it should have been released in 2018 to recognize the end or world war i. of the multiple countries that fought, todat, still, germany has still not come up with an exact number of soldiers who served and were killed, or injured, or made it back home.
i think my children liked frozen 2 the best because it was emotional and they thought that it had a good moral: don't believe everyone and everything and sometimes your own ones are the wrong ones. they liked the funny parts, the scary parts, the whole movie. they said that the kissing part was a bit inappropriate.
the best movie was spider-man far from home or avenger endgame
