juneteenth is a special day in history. president abraham lincoln issued the emancipation proclamation on january 1, 1863, but it did not reach the slaves in states that were part of the confederacy until much later. the emancipation proclamation finally reached texas on june 19, 1865 . because of this, we celebrate juneteenth. juneteenth is mostly celebrated in texas and surrounding states.

anyway it not anything to make fun of basically even thought i did laugh a little but anyways juneteenth is a day of remembrance of what happen and how they got through slavery and it doesn't mean hate whites day either we are all equality a formed of that by now and if you are wonder i'm just a 13 year old girl that's on my mom pc right now because mine is fried basically, anyways as i was saying ;-; juneteenth is a special day in history. president abraham lincoln issued the emancipation proclamation on january 1, 1863, but it did not reach the slaves because some of the state weren't fully adjusted from then. i have to do some more research but i hope that helped with you question and have a blessed life and bye
